+ Registration to audition to join ZooNation Youth Company in 2025 are now open
+ Registration closes Wednesday 20th November 2024 at 4pm
+ To register you’ll need to submit two videos showcasing freestyle and choreography skills, some personal details and an explanation of why you want to join ZYC
+ Successful applicants will be notified by 28th November 2024, and auditions will take place in central London on Sunday 8th December
+ Pre-audition Masterclasses will be held in London for applicants to explore and brush up skills and styles most relevant to ZooNation. These are not essential or part of the application process, but are designed for applicants to become more familiar with some of our house styles (see below for further info)
Pre-Audition Masterclasses
For the first time, we’re excited to be hosting a series of Pre-Audition Masterclasses on Saturdays starting from 12th October in London.
The sessions will run from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at The Old Finsbury Town Hall, priced at £8.00 per class.
These masterclasses are open and designed for dancers aged 10 to 20, at an intermediate to advanced level, with a limit of 30 students per session. The series includes:
- 12th October – Popping with Olivia Francis
- 19th October – Breaking with Gavin Vincent
- 26th October – Locking with Dannielle ‘Rhimes’ Lecointe
- 9th November – House with Bradley Charles
- 16th November – Choreography and Characterisation with Kate Prince and Dannielle ‘Rhimes’ Lecointe

Eligibility & Audition Info
- Aged between 10–20 years old on the audition date
- Able to attend compulsory Saturday training sessions 10am – 6pm in London, during term time.
- Available to attend additional rehearsals as required for performances (These may take place on weeknights and during the holidays)
What we are looking for
• A high level of dance skill and ability in the following styles; Locking, Popping, House, Breaking and picking up choreography and the ability to execute this at a high standard.
• Ability to freestyle
• A commitment to improving your skills and working with a professional attitude
• A willingness to work as part of a company and as an individual
Fees and further information
Registration and audition fee: Free
Successful applicants will be notified by 28th November 2024, and auditions will take place in central London on Sunday 8th December.
If you are offered a place on the programme:
ZYC Saturday sessions, 10am – 1pm or 11am – 2pm, London
ZYC training deposit: £30 per term (refundable subject to attendance conditions)
ZYC training fee: £100 (for the one year programme)
ZAD Saturday sessions, 3-6pm, Islington, London
ZAD fees apply.
2024/25 fees: £245 per term*
*Subject to annual change
Please note that ZooNation Youth Company is a subsidised training programme. We are passionate about supporting young people and those wishing to pursue a career in dance. As such scholarships are available, please inform us at the time of submitting your application form to audition if you would like to apply for a scholarship to help cover training fee costs.
Travel bursaries are available for those outside London.
