1776 – A brand new collaboration with Lil Buck x ZooNation
We’re hugely excited to announce a groundbreaking new project from ZooNation’s Associate Artistic Director Dannielle ‘Rhimes’ Lecointe and Memphis-born Jookin pioneer Lil Buck.

ZooNation Youth Company, young dancers from Memphis and Oxford’s Body Politic Youth Company unite to reimagine 1776 through the language of Hip Hop and Memphis Jookin’ – transforming independence into kinship, and history into evolution.

This international collaboration builds bridges across generations and geographies, connecting communities through dance.

Lil Buck joins as a Schwarzman Centre Cultural Fellow for 2025/26, in partnership with St Hilda’s College and DANSOX, University of Oxford.
