SHIFT: Career Development Opportunity

SHIFT is an exciting career development opportunity for Hip Hop Artists,?powered by a partnership between Dancers’ Career Development, ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company and Boy Blue.

SHIFT enables dancers to expand their careers within and outside the dance industry. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to develop their skills and explore career interests, beyond dance performance; through bespoke mentoring, career coaching and personalised learning programmes.

Former SHIFT participants have developed their DJ and videography skills, learnt about the music industry, studied marketing & communications, deepened their leadership practice, gained anatomy & physiology qualifications and become a BSL interpreter and performance psychologist.

Scheme details

Successful applicants will receive:

• a grant of up to £2000 to be used towards upskilling and professional development beyond dance performance
• a mentor, uniquely matched to your needs, through DCD’s Beyond Dance Mentoring programme
• one-to-one professional development/career-focussed coaching
• access to ZooNation, Boy Blue and DCD’s expertise and people; as appropriate to your identified development needs
